Granfondos and Navy Seals

We had a little show at a local bike race in San Diego, so we arrived with a day or two to spare and met our new co-worker (who happens to be one of the best people ever). The city was smaller than expected, based around a quiet port with lots of navy presence – we were woken in the morning with the American National Anthem, and you couldn’t walk more than 10 meters without passing an Officer. Processed with VSCOcam with c1 preset We were shivering, and we got sunburnt. The weather changed significantly at least 9 times over the two days we were at the expo. The city, in the background, was clean and pretty easy to navigate, and the port which is behind our tent to the right was really beautiful. 2014-04-05 09.48.38 We put logos on everything now. Apparently it makes people buy your stuff. Processed with VSCOcam with b5 preset We asked a few locals for directions, and made our way to the Gas Lamp District for food each night. We ate surprisingly sub-par Mexican food, considering how close the border is, and drank cheap happy hour cocktails after standing on our feet all day. I think next time we might just cross the border…
